Code Update 20160803

You'll be seeing a lot more updates relating to UBB.threads in the coming months, but this one is for the site code on The UBB.Wiki Project's core coding. We've finally rolled out the site updates to all of the core systems to allow for better SEO and overall site functionality. Additionally, we're now using CSS for the site gradients versus using images for them, which should speed up rendering times.

Adjustments and New Code!

We've been redeveloping a lot of the CMS code here at Wiki in the last month or so; we wanted to make it easier for us to provide more content rich articles (basically making it easier to put photos in entries) and figured that since we where working on SSL support within UBB.threads that we should make sure the CMS code here can support it as well to reap the same benefits, which you'll learn more about in the coming months (teaser much?).

Code Refresh - 2014/10/06

I've updated the site codebase as a mesh of updates from the various sites that're utilizing it; generally these refreshes contain bug fixes and small code changes, but need to be merged to maintain a single codebase over the sites.

UBB.Wiki New Systems

October 4th, 2014
As of October 5th, 2014 we've migrated away from utilizing MediaWiki for the UBB.Wiki Project and are now using a custom solution.

The main reason for this change where all of the constant bugs and walls we've hit while managing items in MediaWiki, especially with the upgrade script, which made running a secure and "up to date" version nearly impossible.
