Notes

Changelog rewritten by Gizmo; I compared the 7.5.7 release with the 7.5.8 release and generated my own changelog as the official was quite vague.

New Features

• Compatibility with PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5 & Compatibility with MySQL 5.6
• Admin can now "Become Member" from the "User" dropdown on each posting (showflat.inc.php)
• Added new SEO features supporting Open Graph Meta Tags for posts allowing for enhanced social media and search engine indexing. (showflat.inc.php)
• [7.5.8 Refresh] Gizmo's Shareaholic modification is now stock (13 days as a mod before being put in the stock product lol); see [7.5.6] Shareaholic Bar v0.2 (2013.11.27) if you'd like to add it to the Active Topics, Portal, Post List, and Category Index pages.

Feature Changes

• Includes the latest version of the Smarty Template engine
• Various bug fixes (at least 15), where 2 are considered a security risk. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you upgrade your board as soon as possible.
• Active Topics dropdown has been replaced with a simple link to the 7 day activity page. (header.tpl)
• Search Link dropdown has been replaced with a simple link to the search page. (header.tpl)
• Fix Stop Forum Spam "Test Link" fix added. (Thanks id242 and Gizmo for fix; admin/test_stopforumspam.php)
• Default cookie expiration is now 1 week (7 days) versus 1 year (365 days; changebasic.inc.php, html.inc.php, admin/loginas.php)
• Search allows up to 100 characters, an update from 50 characters (dosearch.inc.php)
• FAQ updated to link to cranno.com for image resizing services.
• Code cleanup (including removing whitepace and comments; various files)
• Security updates (various files)
• Gallery replies now allow linking to images (modifypost.inc.php, previewpost.inc.php)
• New classes ".announce_css", ".sticky_css" for offsetting the coloring for Announcements and Sticky postings (need to add to "extra" css in the style configuration).
• [7.5.8 Refresh] Share buttons now only display for posts that are viewable to guests.
• [7.5.8 Refresh] Padding for share buttons now controlled in common.css.
• [7.5.8 Refresh] Stop Forum Spam now detects users by an IP check on signup.
• [7.5.8 Refresh] New permission check to see if guests can read a post.
• [7.5.8 Refresh] "Show All Posts" now has a hard limit of 200 posts.

Bug Fixes

• [7.5.8 Refresh] "All Pages" link has been restored to the pagination box.
